Stories and information from the farm, family and ancestors of Joe & Bessie Cooper

The Cooper family lived at Home Farm Follifoot, from 1920 to 1961.  

The corner where the lane at Home Farm, Follifoot met Rudding Lane  was known for many years as Coopers Corner, hence the name of the web site.

I returned from Dorothys funeral with 4 boxes of photos, newspaper cuttings, letters and other documents which relate to the farm and the family.  After Dad died we inherited a lot more - almost twice as much as came from Dorothy.  It has taken a long time to work through, I still have everything relating to the family but any records which related to the farm only have been deposited with the Museum of English Rural Life in Reading.

Items stretch over 140 years, from books dating from the 1860s to a wedding order of service from 2000.

The information I have comes from Dad (Frank) and conversations with Bess and Dorothy.
